إذا أنت ذهبت لتتناول جسد المسيح ودمه الأقدسين فإياك أن يكون في قلبك حقد أوغيظ على إنسان، فإن علمت أن في قلب إنسان عليك شيئاً فإذهب وإستغفر منه أولاً لئلا تأخذ دينونة لنفسك وهلاكاً
الأنبا أشعياء

If you partake of the holy body and the blood of Christ, be wary not to have envy or hatred towards anyone, and if it comes to your knowledge that someone has something against you, go and absolve yourself from him first, lest you receive judgment and damnation upon yourself.
